Aerial YOGA

Aerial Yoga uses a looped piece of fabric suspended by a single point on a swivel to support and enhance your floor-based yoga practice. This “hammock” becomes the ultimate prop for a variety of poses, and can be used to provide support, assist with balance, refine alignment, safely perform inversions, and provide physical challenge to yoga practitioners of all ages, sizes, and abilities. Beginning yogis will appreciate the added stability the hammock provides, while more advanced yogis will find that taking their poses off the floor allows them to deepen their practice. And a floating savasana, supported and gently held by the hammock, is a delicious way to end our class!

YOGA FOR EVERY BODY/GENTLE YOGA

These classes encourage you to show up as you are and experience the kind of practice that you need on any given day. We explore how using props can make yoga accessible for everyone, regardless of age, size, fitness level, strength or flexibility. The class can be done seated on the mat the entire time or a combination of seated on the mat and standing. We take plenty of time to move into and out of poses, and multiple options are offered for each pose so that everyone has a chance to “find their yoga.”

YOGA FOR LARGER BODIES

You can experience the benefits of yoga regardless of the size of your belly or the shape of your hips. If you identify as fat, thick, curvy, or plus-sized, this class will show you how you can practice yoga with the body you have now, today. You don't have to be thin, flexible, or athletic to experience the benefits of yoga. Yoga is for EVERY body.

CHAIR YOGA

Did you know that you can practice yoga while seated in a chair? This class is perfect for seniors, disabled folks, folks using mobility devices, those with injuries and chronic illnesses, and yoga practitioners who are interested in exploring how bringing a chair into their practice can offer options and possibilities. Students have the option of staying seated for the entire class or standing for some poses while using the chair for balance and support.
